Wolfs Rain Music

I am a mountainous fan of Wolf’s Rain and have watched it on Adult Swim and enjoy all the unique DVDs. This is truly a incredible series that reaches somewhere inside you and pulls you into the very souls of the characters and you feel like you know these people. I can not wait for this DVD to advance out because it has my current episodes on it. On this DVD, the group is mild split up, but all of them, including Quint, compose it to Jagara’s support and you learn more of Hige’s past and his mysterious collar. If you have not seen any of the series and you win this DVD, you will be intrigued and sucked into it until you are buying all the DVDs. That is what happened to me. I actually saw the first episode of this DVD on Adult Swim one night and was very eager and started my collection. It is worth your time to leer into it. If you wish too learn more about this DVD and the Wolf’s Rain series you can search for at http://wolfsrain.animechain.pick up. Do not effect www in front of wolfsrain or you will not collect it.

As soon as I heard Wolf’s Rain was being made I got mad about the series. The people that work on it also worked on Cowboy Bebop, one of my most common anime series. I’ve been watching the series as each volume is released, and was waiting with anticipation for this one. I’ve heard that the last episode on Volume six was intended to be the waste of the series. You can verbalize, because it has fresh, powerful more fervent opening and closing sequences. However, I’m pleased its not the raze, because it leaves so many questions unanswered!

This volume impartial contains four episodes, but they are packed with revealing state. You secure your mouth dropping with shock a few times, because some actual suprises are revealed. You also come by some nice conclusions to some questions you had been dying to retort. It is a very ravishing anime, and these episodes are no different. Some of the ending sequences are confusing, but the artwork is improbable. The sound is also friendly, as the music really fits the scenes. Overall it’s an fabulous volume.

I like the series so worthy because it has such strong themes. It may feature wolves, but it really has something to say about like, obession, family, friendship, power, and society. If you don’t own me, begin watching the series from volume one. The only terrible thing about this anime, if you can even call it awful, is that the episodes do not stand alone. Don’t begin with this disc, or you will regain nothing out of it. You need to peruse the series in order. Jubilant viewing!

Chosen Country Ever Fame Hall Music Person Youngest

To celebrate the occasion, The Independent on Sunday today salutes 100 women who have changed the world for ever and for the better, and who are drawn from all walks of life.

The IoS's top female minds came together to make their selections; the only restriction facing them was that the candidates should be British and have made their lasting contribution during the past 100 years.

But, though the rules were minimal, debate was long ? and heated ? as thousands of deserving candidates were whittled away to arrive at this magnificent roll of honour: undeniably subjective, but unquestionably fascinating.

We would, of course, welcome your thoughts about those who are on the list ? and about those we did not, but should have, featured.

Victoria Wood

Performer

Born 1953

Wood paved the way for a new generation of female comedians and writers to appear on television during the 1980s breaking into a male-domain. She was one of the country's most popular stand-ups, performing her observational sketches at her piano, before she moved on to sitcom and drama.

Virginia Woolf

Writer, 1882-1941

One of the greatest novelists of the 20th century, Woolf's modernist style in books such as Mrs Dalloway, To The Lighthouse and The Waves continues to influence fiction today. She was a member of the so-called Bloomsbury Group of literary London and her feminist essays were also highly influential.

The fight for the right to vote

The suffragette movement came of age as the 20th century dawned. The Women's Social and Political Union ? founded by Emmeline Pankhurst ? held its inaugural meeting in 1903 and began a campaign of civil disobedience to force government to grant women the right to vote.

What began with women chaining themselves to railings escalated to smashing windows, arson and hunger strikes. Like many suffragettes, Pankhurst was arrested many times and went on hunger strike herself during which she was subjected to violent force-feeding.

Women fought, and died, for the cause. In 1913, suffragette Emily Davison was killed when she threw herself under the King's horse at the Derby in protest at the government's refusal to enfranchise women.

The First World War proved to be a turning point. The campaign of civil disobedience was put on hold while women worked on farms and in armaments factories. Lloyd George's government finally gave in in 1918 and allowed women aged over 30 to vote. But it took another decade to put male and female voters on an equal footing.

Men who helped the drive for equality

George Lansbury, one of the leading figures in the Labour Party in 1910, along with James Keir Hardie, led the campaign in Parliament for votes for women. Lansbury later decided to draw attention to the plight of the Women's Social and Political Union prisoners by resigning from his seat in the Commons and fighting a by-election in favour of votes for women.

Alfred Frankland, an office worker of the Dick, Kerr factory in Preston, was inspired by the young female workers who played football during their dinner breaks while their husbands were fighting in the trenches during the First World War. It was Mr Frankland who suggested to the women that they form a team and he later went on to manage them, inspiring legions of women to take up the game.

Also during the Great War, the British Women's Army Auxiliary Corps was formed thanks to the recommendation of Lieutenant-General H Lawson, who said it should be used in France in 1917.

Playwright and ardent socialist George Bernard Shaw furthered many causes including gaining equal rights for men and women.

Now a standard feature on hospital wards, the ultrasound scan, pioneered by Professor Ian Donald, has for years made pregnancy and labour safer and allowed for the detection and treatment of foetal abnormality.

David Steel's Private Member's Bill, which was backed by government, led to the creation of the 1967 Abortion Act. Lord Steel wanted the act because of the many women who died during illegal back-street abortions.

Willie Hamilton sponsored the Equal Pay for Equal Work Bill in the early 1970s, which stated that women must receive the same pay and conditions of work as their male counterparts.

The legislation introduced in 1988 that led to the ordination of women to the Church of England was moved by Professor David McClean, who was chair of the House of Laity at the time.

When Tony Blair first came to power in 1997, there were 101 women Labour MPs in Parliament. At that point in time there had never been so many women in the House, let alone from one party, and there hasn't been since.

During his sophomore year he joined and toured with “AB & The Souljourners,” an alternative neo-soul band renewing his passion for music and the guitar.  As a musician, Ball has played at the prestigious SOB’s Lounge in New York, The House of Blues in Cleveland, OH, and B.B. King’s Blues Club in Hollywood, CA. He left the band in the summer of 2007 to refocus on his academics, reinvigorate his passion for entrepreneurship and continue his service to the community.

In the last three years, Lawrence has focused his time and service to Howard University and the DC community in specific ways, most notably volunteer work with Alpha Phi Alpha, Fraternity Incorporated, Beta Chapter assisting in the development, organization and execution of the Annual Brother 2 Brother Youth Conference at Howard University. In 2007, he was designated the Chair of sponsorship and was responsible for managing a budget of over $12,000 for the conference. In the succeeding year, he chaired the Logistics committee working strategically to rebrand the conference, leverage his company as a provider and developer of the conference web presence, reposition sponsorship recruitment from a support strategy to an asset based strategy, and combine enrollment statistics at DC Public schools to better identify potential conference participants in underserved communities of the nations capitol and adjacent communities.

In these same years, Lawrence has sought out opportunities and engaged his business acumen by working in tandem with Howard University’s Institute for Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Innovation (ELI) – the nation’s only comprehensive entrepreneurship organization focused on minority entrepreneurship research, practicum, and education at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). He has been recognized for his entrepreneurial endeavors with awards as 1st place winner of the 2008 ELI Business Plan Competition, the 2009 ELI “Student Entrepreneur of the Year,” and recently awarded a 2009-2010 Fellowship with the organization.

Lawrence’s most recent accomplishment is his selection as one of five teams invited as finalist in the 2009 Ford HBCU Business Classic competition in Atlanta Georgia. Only a week before this national competition, Lawrence was involved in a major car accident requiring surgery to repair his fractured hip and leaving him unable to walk for several months. Although displeased with the fact that his presentation would be made from a wheelchair, Lawrence successfully garnered 1st prize and a $30,000 scholarship award. Lawrence hopes to use $10,000 of the prize winnings to found a memorial scholarship fund for the former Director of the Center for Professional Development who passed in December 2008.

Lawrence benefits from the support of an extended network of friends and family.  “I don’t have to look far for role models” states Ball, “as I come from a family of entrepreneurs. Brother Langston is a contractor, sister Lauren is a certified personal trainer, music instructor and entertainer, Dad Lionel J. Ball is a sound engineer and indie film producer and my Mom Lura Daniels-Ball, is a marketing consultant and event manager.”

#23 Devin Thomas

A tenacious spirit, an abyss of strength through adversity, and a passionate obsession with football from age eleven are the driving forces catapulting Devin “Showtime” Thomas to the NFL’s list of elite. Born on November 15, 1986, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the 23 year old is the second of three children. Devin attended and played high school football for Canton High School in Canton, Michigan. As a senior, Devin played Wide Receiver, Running Back and Corner Back for the Division 1 high school. During his impressive senior year at Canton, after rushing and receiving for over 1,000 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions, Devin was named All-State. Despite his amazing talent on the field, his love for football and dreams of playing for Michigan State and the NFL was tested when he enrolled into Junior College in 2004. At Coffeyville Community College, Devin committed himself to achieving his educational goals but most importantly the goal of enrolling and playing at Michigan State. In 2005, his hard work and dedication towards achieving this goal became a reality when he entered Michigan State. Upon his arrival, Devin embraced the mantra “to whom much is given, much is expected” and with this embarked on a remarkable college football career. His junior year streak included 79 catches which became a Michigan State Record for 1,260 yards and eight touchdowns. In 2008, his endurance and journey would land him in the pool of notables for the 2008 NFL Draft. Devin was drafted by the Washington Redskins in the second round 34th overall pick. On July 18, 2008, he signed a four-year 4.8 million dollar contract with the Washington Redskins which included a $2.7 million guarantee. During training camp, an unfortunate hamstring injury blindsided what Devin looked forward to being an incredible rookie season. The injury caused him to miss the Pro Football Hall of Fame game against the Indianapolis Colts but fueled his courage to heal and overcome this obstacle. With his injury still fresh, Devin made his NFL Rookie preseason debut against the New York Giants on August 16, 2008. In November of 2008, he scored his very first career touchdown on a 29 yard run against the New York Giants. During his rookie season, he also won the NFL Rookies Madden Bowl. In 2009, he scored his first career receiving touchdown on a 2 yard throw from Redskins Quarterback Jason Campbell against the Philadelphia Eagles. Off the field, Devin is a devoted father of a 2 year old son Devin Thomas Jr. and is committed to lending his time to charitable causes focusing on youth, their health and wellness, but most importantly their empowerment. The world outside of the NFL was introduced to Devin when his accomplishments, talent and undeniable looks landed him in Vibe Magazine’s 2009 “NFL Meets R&B” fashion spread with the likes of Darren Sharper, Dwight Freeney, Kerry Rhodes, Osi Umenyiora and Will Demps. The spread which also included R&B Divas LeToya Luckett, Crisette Michelle, Adrienne Bailon, Teairra Mari and Melanie Fiona was Devin’s debut on the fashion and entertainment scene which awaked another talent that within him was dormant. While he is still very much focused on his first love which is football, he has since been photographed by notable celebrity photographers and has no quorums with the lights, camera action on and off the field responsible for his nickname “Showtime”. He enjoys action movies, various genres of music and has a self-proclaimed obsession with tattoos. Devin’s positive attitude and refusal to ever settle for mediocrity continues to fuel his tenacious spirit, immune him from adversity, multiply his love for football and achieve the ascension to his plateau.

Before graduating from DuVal High School in Lanham, Frank had already attended six elementary schools, two middle schools and was placed in “Maryland’s Tomorrow,” an alternative education and drop out prevention program for at-risk kids.

Although a master’s degree is definitely in his future, Frank says he is hard at work authoring his own memoir about his remarkable journey from a troubled teen to a successful entrepreneur, author and academic scholar.

Giving back to a community that gave so much to him appears to be among Frank’s top concerns, evident by his generous contributions to the area. As seemingly old problems present new challenges everyday, Frank A. Bryant is definitely striving to do his part by empowering tomorrow’s leaders today.

Freshmen Honeys will take you through the first year college experiences of six freshmen divas and the trials and tribulations that they go through. Mahogany is currently finishing up her second novel entitled “Sophomore Blues” which will also be out later on this year. Find out more about the novel at www.mahoganywoodland.com.

Mahogany Woodland graduated Cum Laude from Rutgers University in 2006, with a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sports Studies. She then attended the George Washington University School of Business for graduate school and graduated in 2008 with a Masters in Tourism Administration. However, she always had a passion and desire to work in a field that would impact lives; especially the lives of children. For that reason, she began to pursue a career in teaching through the Prince George’s County Resident Teacher program, an alternative certification program for non-education majors. Mahogany is currently a Special Education teacher in the county that she grew up in. In her first year as an educator in the county Mahogany did not thread the waters lightly. She saw that there was a need for the young girls in her school to have more positive influence in their life. So she took it upon herself, along with a co-worker to start a mentoring program in the school as well, and loves being able to make a change in young people’s lives.

Mahogany Woodland, 25, is a dedicated teacher, mentor, and author. In her spare time she enjoys playing basketball and hanging out with friends and family. If you are interested in learning more about Mahogany and her novel “Freshmen Honeys”, please visit her website at www.mahoganywoodland.com.

Marcus Mitchell is not only a rising saxophone artist in smooth jazz, he is also CEO and President of 24th Music, a division of MHM Entertainment Group – a multi-faceted entertainment company based out of Maryland.

Marcus and his company 24th Music is committed to the company’s motto of “Creative Music with Substance” which is demonstrated in all of his works and other artists under 24th Music. Not only does Mitchell’s MHM (Marcus Horatio Mitchell) Entertainment Group serve as the parent company to Maryland-based 24th Music, but it is also home to Armodeonce Venture, an investment entity that will be involved in future investment projects and also Three Sheets of Music Publishing.

The dream of this future millionaire began while he was attending high school at Crossland High School in Temple Hills, Maryland. While in high school, Marcus received most of his business knowledge while working as an in-house consultant and producer for Mathew Knowles Music World.

His biggest accomplishment while working closely with Mathew and the powerful group Destiny’s Child was getting Destiny’s Child to perform at President George W. Bush’s victory party in 2001. From there, he took what he learned from Mathew Knowles and formed 24th Music.

By 2001 Marcus graduated from high school with a 3.8 GPA and was on his way to Raleigh North Carolina’s Shaw University, the oldest HBCU in the south studying Journalism. While attending Shaw, Marcus operated 24th Music and also performed all around Raleigh with the N-Tune Band. His name quickly became well-known making him one of the most viewed acts in the Triangle area. Marcus was quickly making a name for himself and by his senior year in college he was able to obtain an investment from Frankie Perry of Wachovia Bank to help jumpstart 24th Music. Marcus has worked with many artists such as Mike Phillips, Kim Waters, Marcus Johnson, and Destiny’s Child just to name a few.

2005 was a great year for Marcus. On September 5, Labor Day weekend, he performed at the 3rd Annual Jazz Festival at Cooper’s Field in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He shared the stage with Paul Taylor, Peter White and the Rippingtons (featuring Russ Freeman). He also headlined at the legendary Blues Alley Jazz Club in Washington, D.C. Mitchell’s CD entitled “Jumpin’” is the first release under 24th Music and is being distributed nationwide.

In 2006 Marcus will make history by becoming the youngest independent executive to be on the voting committee for the Grammy Awards. He will also be building a state-of-the-art office complex that will house a fully functional recording studio and will release more projects.

At the young age of 26, Marcus Mitchell has accomplished so much and will continue to be a driving force in the industry.
